A New Beginning

After much consideration, I decided to turn over a new leaf and start over completely. This decision didn't come easily, but it was necessary.  Perhaps this is my way to finally grow up, who knows, but change is inevitable and although my old stories and poems are no longer available, it...

There’s this stigma that revolves around authors, poets, artists and musicians that includes suicide and depression.  Now, I’m not quite sure how statistics for this looks lately, but I can honestly say that although I tried my very best not to fall into the stereotypical “suffer for one’s art” saying, unfortunately it seems this is a more common problem amongst creative minds than I thought.  Surely I’m not going to cut my wrists and be all melodramatic about it, but …

Bedroom 2

As a writer, there really is no place like home.  However, home for a writer is his or her desk, where all the writing happens.  It’s where you have your favourite cup of coffee placed on its usual spot beside your laptop or PC, which of course is a particular brand too, seeing as writers get a little anal over their writing material.  It’s the place where you are surrounded by the things that gives you the most inspiration, be …

I’m a maniac A neurotic, psychotic, passionate fool. Trapped within an asylum created in my mind, My escapes come when I least expect them. Short Story: The Valley of Death

in-the-valley-of-death

The darkness enfolds itself around me.  It embraces me in its bosom like an abusive parent.  I become uncomfortable.  With the black night taking over and the thickness making it almost unbearable to breath, I become terrified.  The whistling in my ears are a sure sign of me falling through the blackness and I gasp as I start falling faster and faster through the thick belly of onyx, which is slowly starting to consume my whole being.  My heart screams …

Short Story: A United Front

UnitedFront

They talk about it as though there’s some kind of secret or conspiracy behind it, but we all know the truth, we’ve all come face to face with the experiences of others in their homes, historical places, graveyards and any other place that there might have been a death.  It’s not as though we’ve not been able to get a taste of this unspoken and so-called “unknown” place.  So why ask what happens after death?  Why not rather ask …

After much consideration, I decided to turn over a new leaf and start over completely. This decision didn’t come easily, but it was necessary.  Perhaps this is my way to finally grow up, who knows, but change is inevitable and although my old stories and poems are no longer available, it certainly doesn’t mean that my writing will stop.  Sure, I’ve had days where I just wanted to give up, but writing is my life… it’s a way to get …
